Rosie had serious vomiting problems for years before she got help. She had symptoms that seemed to be like CVS, and at that time getting a name for the problem was a help, but she got worse and her symptoms didn’t fit with CVS, she eventually found out the cause she had another rare condition as well as CVS. She tells her harrowing story as a way to help others and publicise her condition: Chronic intestinal pseudo obstruction. This highlights how important it is to ensure every other possible cause is ruled out. Diagnosis of some conditions is very difficult and many of our members wait years to find out the cause of their vomiting. Some find through further tests or re-testing that there is another cause and it isn’t CVS, in this case there was more than one problem. Further research and education is the best way forward.
